Refurbishment of a building from 1983 – Redesign of the office space and total Remodeling of the facades

Built in the 80s Wehrhahn Center is contradictory in its structural design. While the building with its large angled corners and protruding upper floors designed as a large house in the urban space, the existing facade with its changing natural stone facade is trying to create a fragmentation in the upper floors. The conversion takes up the idea of the generous figure in the urban space. The rugged in inventory volume is calmed by adding and removing. The landscaped stacked storeys are simplified by increases to a clear cubature. The transition to the lower neighboring buildings is carried out by simple stepped storeys.
